Winter Activities in Mont Sainte Anne

Three of the most enjoyable activities in the winter season will obviously involve the slopes. Let’s have a closer look at some of the best slope related activities you can enjoy at the resort.

 

1. Skiing and Snowboarding

Mont Sainte Anne sits at an elevation of 2,625 feet above sea level. While this is quite high in comparison to most places, when compared to other more famous ski resorts such as those in France and Italy, Mont Sainte Anne falls a little short. However, in Quebec, Mont Sainte Anne is one of the biggest skiing resorts. You get to enjoy both day and night skiing as 19 of the 69 trails are lighted.

If you can’t ski but would like to learn, you’ll be happy to know that there is a beginner’s zone which is a small, nearly flat area at the resort. For those who are a bit more advanced, but still in the amateur stages, there is also a hill area for them to amuse themselves on. The resort is also child-friendly, so your children will have a great time learning how to ski here.

 

2. Snowshoeing

Mont Sainte Anne has two massive snowshoe trails located in Rang Saint Julien covering 37 km in trail area, and at the foot of the mountain comprising seven trails covering 29 km. The two ski runs have trails of varying skill levels ranging from easy to difficult to extreme.

 

3. Cross-Country Skiing

Located at Rang Saint Julien in Saint Ferréol les Neiges is a Cross-County Skiing Center that has groomed 200km and 191km of skating stride trails, making it a top-ranking site in the country and second best in the continent.

Summer is a special time in the mountains as a new breed of thrill seekers finds their way to the resort. With the coming of summer, Mont Sainte Anne is home to mountain bikers looking for an unprecedented, fun-filled, riding experience.

 

1. Mont Sainte Anne Mountain Biking

There are numerous trails to be enjoyed by those into mountain biking at the resort in summer. Some of the trails to bike include the pump track, cross-country, downhill, and all-mountain trails. You’ll never be at a loss of places to bike in Mont Sainte Anne.

 

2. Hiking

Yes, you can go hiking in summer on the various hiking trails available on the mountain peak, try going up there on a gondola. A nice hike ascending and down the summit is very adventurous. One of the more famous hiking trails is the Chemin des Chutes featuring the wonderful sight of three small waterfalls. Carry a picnic basket, as it will be well worth it to spend an afternoon there, before heading back down to the resort.

 

3. Multi-Purpose Track

There is a 4,900-km long multi-purpose track at the resort to explore. Go rollerblading in the summer, or plan your day well and attempt to explore the Rand Saint Julien cross-country skiing terrain.

 

Where to Stay

It takes 30 minutes to get to Chalets-Village from Quebec City and the place consists of 14 breathtaking villas. Each villa is fully equipped with four to 32 bedrooms and is able to accommodate 12 to 80 people.
